FRIARS
Dies, nox, et omnia (Day, night and everything)
FRIAR LAURENCE
The grey-eyed morning
Smiles at the frowning night,
Checks the clouds with light
And e’re the titan sun
Advances his burning eye
To cheer the world, must I
Collect the leaves and flowers
Da, da, da, da, da
O, how greatthe grace
That makes it's sacred home
In herbs and plants and stones
Nothing is so vile
That on the earth doth live
But hath some good to give
And naught so good, but sours
Lay me down in the clover
‘Til my cup runneth over
Though I walk through the shadow,
I shall fear no evil
For I am a lily of the valley
Deep within
The heart of this infant flower
Lies death and healing power.
Smell the odor sweet,
And that part cheers each part,
Yet tasting stays the heart.
FRIARS
Dies, nox, et omnia (Day, night, everything)
mihi sunt contraria; (is hostile to me;)
virginum colloquia (the talk of maidens)
Me fa planzer (makes me weep)
FRIAR LAURENCE
In parts of plants and hearts of man
Encamp these forces
Grace and will, the traits that still
May change our courses
And where the worst is sown,
There shall no garden grow
FRIARS
Aahh
FRIAR LAURENCE
Lay me down in the clover
‘Til my cup runneth over
Though I walk through the shadow,
I shall fear no evil
For I am a lily of the valley
